CO-FINANCING FOR COSTRUCTION OF TOILETS FOR THE POOR 
Operational Area: Villages in the district of Khammam, Telangana (India)
 
Local partner: Diocesan Charitable trust, Khammam
 
Aim: Construction household toilets to improve the surrounding environment, reduce infectious diseases and increase the level of dignity for the people reducing the gap between castes. Expansion of some school buildings with two blocks of toilets divided by gender.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER
Intervention area:
Julurpadu village, Khamma district, Telangana (India)
Khammam city, Telengana (India)
 
Local partner: the Diocese of Khamma Society 
 
Aim: to provide self emplpyment and job opportunities to 40 rural young women and girls between age group of 16 to 25 years who belong to the marginalized communities like Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes through the programme in tailoring and embroidery 

  

CUTTING AND SEWING CENTER

Area of intervention: Ramanagut, district of Khammam, Telangana (India)

Local Partner: Diocesan Charitable Trust, Khammam
 
Aim: to foster independent and above all feminine work in rural areas to improve the quality of life through a vocational training program from the social and economic point of view. An opportunity for 60 young women between the ages of 16 and 25 who live in these rural areas at the margins of Indian society

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Operational area: 114 villages in the Warangal district,Telangana (India)

Local Partner: Sarva Prema Welfare Society, the Charitable organisation founded in 2005 by Father Antonio Grugni, doctor and Pime missionary, who began his work in India in 1976.

Aims: The project aims to rehabilitate the socio-economic point of view the people subjected to medical treatment or unable to work by providing a food supplement, delivering small pensions to the elderly or invalids building of brick houses for the homeless. The project also provides a medical treatment based on specific treatment for new cases of leprosy and treatments for all skin conditions, monitors the health and treatment of children's diseases and treats patients with TB and AIDS through mobile units in different villages. 

In 2020, a great blood camp was created for all those who need blood bags in the hospital and do not have the opportunity to pay exorbitant prices.

MANUAL WELL CONSTRUCTION

Operation Area: villages in the districts of Khammam and Warangal, Telangana (India)

Local Partner: Bala Vikasa Social Service Society

Aims: to facilitate the access to drinking water for the rural communities in the districts of Khammam and Warangal, to improve the hygienic and health conditions of the population in the above mentioned area, to strengthen community relations by the forming of committees for maintenance and functioning and to promote an awareness campaign on themes connected to correct water use.

WATER PURIFICATION
Operation area: villages in the districts of Khammam and Warangal, Telangana (India)

Aims:
  1. To facilitate the purchase of purified water at the price of 1 rupee per 20 litres by the population in the areas of Khammam and Warangal.
  2. To improve the hygienic and health conditions of the populations in the above mentioned area.
  3. To promote an awareness campaign on the themes connected to the correct use of water resources and the diseases which result from excessive fluorine in water.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
Location: Shivaigudem, Mittapaly, Banjara e Eddula Bayyaram, Khammam district, Telangana  (India)
 
Local partner: Khammam Diocese (responsible Bishop Paul Maipan)
 
The problem: Woman’s access to labour market, as her education, in India, is still strongly restrictive. The professional training, through tailoring courses and the related establishment of cooperative structures tend to develop woman’s economic independence and her social recognition.
 
Aims:
General objective
Strengthen within young feminine population  the auto management skills; trough transfer of professional know how and expertise, facilitate the entrance into the labour market, in order to reach economic independence and social recognition.
Specific objectives
  1. Facilitate the professional qualification through the realization of tailoring courses
  2. Contribute to young women orientation towards labour market and implement the birth of micro cooperatives 
  3. Start up microcooperatives' creation
Beneficiaries: 30 tribal and dalith girls (between 15 e 20 who have interrupted the studies) for each module (to repeat twice a year), 240 girls for ten complessive modules
 
Duration: Duration of the module for each center: 6 months
Total duration of the project:12 months (8 modules in total)
 
Costs: Budget for one module for 6 months for one centre:  3.360 euro
Budget for one module for 6 months for four centers : 13.440 euro
Budget per two modules for one centre: 6.720 euro
